Crop seat packages are SOLD OUT!! We do still have room in some of our classes for last minute registrations!

We are one week out and we wanted to post a little info for those of you coming!

Dear Crop Guest;

We are so excited to have you join us for our first Crop-A-Ganza! In order to make your experience everything that you have wished for it to be we want to ensure you have as much information about our venue, classes and crop space as we can provide to you. Our intention is to make you our top priority and that means giving you the scoop to the best of our knowledge while ensuring everyone’s enjoyment. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us prior to your crop experience or at any time during the weekend.

HOTEL
You can check in anytime after 3pm on Friday Feb17/2012. Check out is 12 noon on Sunday Feb 19^th.

If you require arrangements outside of these times please contact the Sheraton Red Deer directly at 403-346-2091.

Your guest room and all its taxes have been paid for via your registration package .But you will be required to give the Sheraton a credit card imprint upon check in for any incidentals you personally may incur over the weekend.

The Sheraton does not allow ANY outside food or drinks in the crop room or classrooms. You are however are permitted outside food and drinks within your guest rooms. Your meal packages provide a selection of teas and coffee during meal times (juices at breakfast) .There will be water stations set in each class room as well as the crop room. For your convenience we will have a “cash bar” in the crop room for wine, cocktails, pop and juice on Friday 5 -11 pm and then Sat 4-11. For the hours before the cash bar is open the hotel has a sweet little deli called “Joes Café” that sells pops, juices, teas and a selection of gourmet coffees.

Crop –A-Ganza

The crop doors will open at 4pm on Friday Feb 17/2012. We would like to honor the early birds out there but there will be no exceptions. We will have 2 registration tables for your convenience and we will do our best to get you organized quickly and efficiently. You will receive your registration package at this time. In this package you should find a name badge, you’re rooming and cropping preferences, where you will be sitting in the crop room, classes you have registered for, and your food vouchers for the weekend .You will also be given a bracelet to wear for the weekend. This will help all us to know who belongs to the crop and who is a curious visitor or a just class participant.

Once you have registered you are able to load in via the Convention Services doors. We have requested a few carts to help facilitate the overwhelming task of loading in all of your goodies.

There are 3 of our classes that start prior to our crop doors opening at 4 pm. Please access these classes from the main hallway .The classrooms are attached to the crop room but can be accessed from the outside hallway as well. Please watch for your Crop-A-Ganza hostesses in the hallways to direct you to your classroom.

It is our suggestion that you remove ALL electronics /cutters/computers/printers etc from the crop room at nighttime. The room is locked from all access and there are only a few people with keys to this area. The ballroom area has a locked gate to keep people out .And there is 24 hour security in the hotel. However it is suggested that these types of valuables are taken with you to avoid a theft.

Don’t forget that Saturday Feb 18 at 7pm is our Pajama Party. Please wear your most favorite and comfy p.j.s!! Christy says Tiaras too!!! Lets see what you can find from your teenage pageant days !!!

Have you ever wanted to be PUBLISHED ?? Canadian Scrapbookers Magazine is sponsoring a layout contest by publishing the winner !!! The layout will be published in a future issue of Canadian Scrapbookers Magazine.

We will have a layout contest throughout the weekend. We will determine the “judging “prior to the contest commencing. We are proud to be supporting a boy that is near and dear to many of our Red Deer Scrapbook friends. Chance Coulic is an 8 year old boy that has taken on the fight of his life against a nasty form of leukemia called Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Chance’s Mom, Shannon Coulic is an avid stamper and scrap booker from Red Deer. Our hope is that we are able to raise some funds to help this wonderful family cope with the overwhelming expenses of receiving chemo therapy 4 times a week every week at the Alberta Children’s Hospital in Calgary. The cost is 2.00 per layout submission with ALL proceeds going to the Coulic family. Feel free to bring some of your very best work that you have already completed. It does not need to be a layout completed over the weekend but it does need to be your own work. There is no limit to the number of layout submissions/donations that you can make.

We have attempted to keep buffets open for 2 hour blocks to accommodate the class schedule as well as people that might like to eat at a slightly different time. The only exception is the Friday evening “finger food” lunch which is only one hour. Please pay close attention to those times as we are unable to accommodate people that have missed a meal i.e. Slept through breakfast.

The crop room will open on Friday Feb17 at 4pm and we will give you a warning at 12:30 and closes at 1:00am

We will then reopen on Saturday Feb 18^th at 8 am. We will close on Saturday evening at 1 am and will give you a 30 minute warning at 12:30 am

Sunday is our final day and we are open at 9am and will close at 3pm .At 2:30 we will remind you that your load out will have to be started by 3pm.

It is our hope is that this will provide you with some information that will help your experience be more enjoyable. They say “knowledge is power” : )

You’re in invited to a COLORFUL PARTY!!!

Come join me for my class at CROP-A-GANZA and be ready to PARTY!!!!!

Yes we will make a couple of layouts, a card, and a tag……… BUT, we will do a whole lot more!!!!!

Come explore with me the fun of COLOR!!!! We will have fun playing with ink, paint, and Kuretake pens!!! Learns why color makes you feel the way that it does! Have you ever wondered why you are attracted to certain colors more than other colors? We will explore why!!

What is a party without PRIZES!!! People taking the class will be entered to win a wonderful basket full of some my favourite art, crafting & scrapbooking supplies during the day!

Plus, all class members names will be entered into my blog draw to win a spot to Lain Ehmann’s, True Scrap 3. An online class on April 20-21, 2012. (http://www.truescrap.com/spawn-general-reg/) This is where I will teaching with some awesome teachers like; Jessica Sprague, Elizabeth Karthner, Nichol Magouirk, and Katrina Kennedy to name a few. Awesome stuff!

I awesome really feel like having a party because my new line of stamps with Unity Stamps is coming out and I WANT TO PLAY!!!!! So, I hope that you can join me that day, because I can’t wait to see you!!!

We can't think of a better way to spend a weekend in the cold of February... then to hang out with some amazing scrapbooking friends and some of the best paper crafting instructors in the industry, creating art, while enjoying the pampering of the Sheraton Hotel.

We are getting really excited as we open registration for this amazing event. We are in the final stages of locking in classes and sponsors. We are now opening class registration on
November 15th, 2011 at 10:00 am!!
instead of the 10th, in order to give our teachers a bit more time.
